Biography of Mr. Habib Ahmad Khinjani
Mr. Habib Ahmad Khinjani who is the Acting- Consul General in Istanbul, was born in 1985 in Baghlan province of Afghanistan in an intellectual family. Mr. Khinjani has 15 years of working experience in government and international organizations.
Mr. Habib Ahmad Khinjani started his first career in USAID and then in 2007 he joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan and has served in various departments of that ministry. He first served in the Department of 3rd Political Division and then started his job at the department of Communications and Archives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. After a three-year stint at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Khinjani appointed as a diplomat at the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in Jeddah and worked there for three years. He also served as a Diplomat at the Consulate General of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in Jeddah at the suggestion of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for six months.
Mr. Habib Ahmad Khinjani returned to his beloved homeland after his diplomatic mission and served for six months as the Deputy Chief of Diplomatic Archives. During this period of time, Mr. Khinjani demonstrated his competence, as per the decision of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Khinjani was appointed as the Deputy Director of the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
After completing his tenure at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Khinjani began his career in 2019 as Charge d’affair to the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in Ankara. For eight months he worked as Acting-Ambassador of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in Ankara.
In addition to the national languages, Mr. Khinjani is fluent in English, Arabic and Urdu.
It is worth mentioning that Mr. Habib Ahmad Khinjani has been appointed as Acting Consul General of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in Istanbul on 21 January 2021, started his duties.
